The group working
I forgot to mention the dinner situation in my last post. There are three small groups in our entire group (well, there are only 8 students on the trip). My group is just me and another kid, Nick. All the teams take turns cooking and cleaning. Last night was our first night cooking and we exceeded expectations (surprising, I know). We made Sweet Potato and Black Bean Burritos. It was delicious. One of the professors on our trip said it was the best student-prepared dinner she has ever had. She might have been exaggerating, but I don't care. haha
On a more serious note, the flooding of the Mississippi River is on the minds of many. It looks as if New Orleans will be alright, but many places won't be as fortunate. The engineers working on the levee system have some twisted decisions to make. Be sure to stay informed about the tough decisions facing leaders.
